My car keys were stolen in Bradford but the car is still on the drive. Do I need new locks?
Usually not. On most modern vehicles we programme a new key and remove the stolen one from the car's memory, so it will open the doors at best but will not start the engine. If the car has a conventional lock and you want that changed as well we can talk it through. We check ID and proof of ownership first, and a crime reference number is helpful.
I am locked out of my car on a terraced street in Manningham with cars either side. Is that a problem?
No. Non-destructive entry does not need the car moved or much space around it, so a tight on-street spot is fine. The van stops where it can on the street and the work is done at the car door. Give us the street name and the registration, and if the key is lost as well as locked out we cut and programme a replacement in the same visit.
