Liverpool is the one place within our coverage where the car is as likely to be underground or three decks up as it is on a street. Liverpool ONE, the Albert Dock, Lime Street and the office blocks of the commercial district all park cars in multi-storeys, and a key lost between the office and the shops can leave a car stuck on a level it cannot leave. Keyless entry is common on newer cars in the city, and losing a smart key means more than a cutting job. We programme a new key at the car and delete the missing one from the vehicle's memory, so whoever finds the old key cannot use it. For a simple lockout we open the car without damage, and worn or cracked keys can usually be repaired or rebuilt rather than replaced outright.
