How it works
Older keys and worn-out cases can be converted to a modern flip key or remote key without touching the car's immobiliser programming. The original transponder chip is transferred into the new key, a fresh blade is cut, and where the car supports it the remote is programmed too. It is the upgrade customers most often mention in reviews.
What an upgrade involves
We take the immobiliser chip from your existing key and fit it into the new key body, cut a new blade to match your locks, and programme the remote where the vehicle supports one. The car does not need re-coding, so it is quicker and cheaper than a new key from scratch.
Not every car can take a remote upgrade. Tell us the make, model and year and we will say honestly whether it is worth doing.

Can any key be upgraded to a flip key?
Most keys with a standard transponder chip can. Some manufacturers use chips that cannot be moved between key bodies. Give us the registration and we will check before you commit to anything.
